Austin: Healthy Women, Healthy Families Community Forum
Tomorrow night the Healthy Women, Healthy Families coalition of nonprofits will have their first community forum in Austin. The forum focuses on the quality and availability of women's health care and will provide attendees a chance to share their stories and provide information on how to improve health care access. Here's a quick run down on what tomorrow night's forum will include:
- A sneak preview of the initial survey results - find out what health services Central Texas women say they need most
- Resources from local health and family services
- Ways to get involved in local actions to improve the health of Central Texas women and families
- A space to share personal stories about healthcare challenges you or your family has faced
- Presentations by State Rep. Donna Howard and Austin City Council Member Laura Morrison on why it really does make a difference when you tell your lawmakers what you need
The forum is tomorrow night, Tuesday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at Faith Presbyterian Church (1314 E Oltorf St, Austin).

Thanks friend. I had my second anxiety dream about it last night. In the first dream, it was conflated with a wedding (go figure). In this one, it was conflated with a poetry reading. Good times :)

The wedding dream I can see, considering recent events in your life. But a poetry reading? Are you a closet poet, wearing berets, smoking cloves and digging that crazy beat scene? Oh, sorry--I got stuck in the wacky world of Doby Gillis there for a second: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Many_Loves_of_Dobie_Gillis
All of that being said, I'm planning on going because I think it's an excellent project and I'm looking forward to seeing how it's going.
p.s. Did R ever take that chicken apron off?
