Some of my friends raise chickens and one group of them have just started their own flock within the past year. I'm not sure how often they read here, but there was a very good post in the Ethicurean, good to my way of thinking because it has a bunch of chicken-related links included and encourages readers to post their own link. Plus, she tells the amusing story of culling a bully chicken from her flock. The Avian Hannibal Lecter: When Being Mother Hen Isn't All It's Cracked Up to Be. If it was up to me, I would at least have considered "Hannibal Pecter." Which may be why I still struggle in obscurity. Update: Deb changed the headline as per the above--I feel honored and humbled. Hopefully there won't be any negative repercussions for her.
