As per a reader's request, here's footage from The Great Franklin Street Riot of 2009 in Celebration of the UNC National Championship in Men's Basketball. According to one report, there were two arrests on Franklin Street (one for "intoxification"--apparently a spell-checker was broken in the melee as well) and a few minor injuries (warning--don't watch this if you find it difficult to look at masses of people wearing Carolina Blue):
